Mornington Peninsula & Phillip Island– Private Day Tour

Duration 12 hours

No. of Guests 1-10 guests

Many consider Phillip Island’s iconic penguin parade an unmissable wildlife experience. Its immense popularity has made it hard to escape the tourist droves but a private tour with a local host will ensure this is as intimate as possible. With plenty of unique wildlife, coastal and nature experiences on offer, this is an experience the whole family will enjoy.

Depart Melbourne at 10 am (winter)/12 midday (summer) for the hour-long drive to Mornington Peninsula and some of Victoria’s best vineyard dining. Indulge in a tutored tasting of some of the region’s best wines before sitting down to a delicious two-course lunch (not included). After lunch, visit hidden beaches among Victoria’s wild southern coastline for a gentle stroll or take the scenic drive up to Arthur’s Seat.

If you’re in the mood to discover local culture, we can arrange a private viewing at a local Indigenous gallery or sample local artisan cheese and pastries in a charming country setting. En-route to Phillip Island, stop at our favourite local wildlife sanctuary for some ranger-led encounters with native wildlife.

Moonlit is regarded as one of Victoria’s best and the opportunity to pat koalas and feed kangaroos is not to be missed. Continue the drive around Westernport Bay to Phillip Island with enough time to visit a few local sites and attractions before dinner, with various charming, seaside options to choose from. After watching the sunset over the Southern Ocean it is time to make our way to see the penguins. The experience is extremely popular and often very busy.

Enjoy a premium viewing experience in the exclusive, ‘Penguins Plus’, area or upgrade to the fantastic ‘Guided Ranger Experience’ (ages 12+). The drive home after the penguins is under two hours. Expect to be home by 10 pm in winter/or midnight in summer.
