Suggested but highly flexible itinerary:

Stop for morning tea, fresh scones and jam in the charming regional town of Richmond. Hear a few curious tales from early Tasmania at the site of Australia’s oldest (and quite possibly its loveliest) bridge.
The Coal River Valley is one of Tasmania’s best wine regions, producing exceptional local pinot and chardonnay among other varietals. Visit a few cellar doors to chat with the winemakers and enjoy tutored tastings and views of the vines.
Enjoy an exceptional local lunch at one of the regions stunning vineyard restaurants which range from casual to elegant degustation dining.
Visit a local farm to learn about their sustainable practices and taste some delicious, goat cheeses, chocolate, fruit and other local treats.
The route along the east coast towards Freycinet offers up farm-fresh oysters, beer, spirits and world-class regional produce with plenty of options to suit your tastes. The views of the coast and countryside are always lovely and sometimes spectacular so be sure to keep your cameras handy.
