Australian East Coaster Package Tours – Private Day Tour

Duration: 6-7 hours
No. of Guests: 1-6

Take your time and savour a fabulous journey along Tasmania’s East Coast through historic Richmond, the Coal River wine region and charming seaside villages. Stop to sample fresh oysters, excellent local pinot and chardonnay and enjoy a fabulous lunch overlooking the vines or Tasman Sea. Finish mid-afternoon at your hotel in Freycinet.

Suggested but highly flexible itinerary:

Be picked up from your hotel at 10 am by your expert Localing host in a premium vehicle with bottled water & local treats.

If you’re partial to an early tipple, choose to start the day with a tour and tasting at Sullivan’s Cove – producer of the World’s Best Whisky. Private, distiller hosted experiences can be arranged for an additional cost. Or save this for an afternoon tasting at a wonderful waterfront distillery on the coast.

Stop for morning tea in the charming historic town of Richmond. Hear a few curious tales from early Tasmania at the site of Australia’s oldest (and quite possibly its loveliest) bridge.

The East Coast is one of Tasmania’s best wine regions, producing exceptional local pinot and chardonnay among other varieties. Visit a cellar door or two to chat with winemakers and enjoy tastings and views of the vines.

Enjoy an exceptional local lunch at one of the regions stunning vineyard restaurants which range from casual to elegant degustation dining.

The route along the east coast towards Freycinet offers up farm-fresh oysters, spirits and regional produce with plenty of options to suit your tastes. The views of the coast and countryside are always lovely and sometimes spectacular so be sure to keep your cameras handy.

Arrive at your accommodation in Freycinet by 4 pm.
