Your expert Localing host will pick you up from your hotel and head to the ferry terminal for your journey over to the breathtaking North Stradbroke Island – the second largest sand island in the world, a place that inspires relaxation, creativity and curiosity. Relax and get to know your host as you enjoy the short voyage. Make sure you keep an eye out for dolphins, and in migration season – whales!

Arrive at the island and stop at a local cafe for a coffee and morning tea before exploring the natural beauty of Brown Lake and Myora Springs.

Swing by the iconic Cylinder Beach for a barefoot stroll and hear stories about how the first touch point for European Settlers on the island has become one of Straddie’s most desirable beaches for family fun and free spirited surfers.

Lunch at Point Lookout is a wonderland of nature’s finest – hang with the local kangaroos, take in the ocean views and spot dolphins, whales and stingrays while you enjoy some local catch.

Spend the afternoon on the famous gorge walk, or enjoy a private tour of the North Stradbroke Island Historical Museum, offering a deep dive into the island’s rich Indigenous and colonial history. Or perhaps you’d prefer to pop into an art gallery celebrating local artists – all things jewellery, interiors and wall art.
