Be picked up from your hotel at 9 am by your expert Localing host in a premium vehicle with bottled water and local treats. Spend the morning getting acquainted with the city through the eyes of a well-informed and connected local host.
Wander the historic backstreets and waterfront area of Salamanca and Battery Point, passing through local markets (on market days). Learn about the city’s humble beginnings and fascinating convict heritage as well as its rapid rise and recent acclaim as a major culinary and cultural destination.
Stop in for a pastry and coffee in one of our favourite local bakeries. Chat with local makers about Hobart’s emergent dining scene and the recent journey from conservatism to creativity.
Venture up and over kunanyi/Mt.Wellington, stopping for incredible views from the alpine summit. Descend down the mountain range for an afternoon of delights in the famed Huon Valley.
Stop in for lunch at an organic local bakery, winery or cider house.
Spend the afternoon tasting more local produce direct from the makers. With fresh fruit farms, world-class local sheep’s whey gin and vodka, wineries and cider houses. There’s something for everyone in the Huon Valley.
Relax with the scenic drive back to the city with options for de-tours via farming country with a chance to see native wildlife before arriving back to your accommodation by 5 pm.
